About the Artist
2024 Utah Arts Festival people's choice award winner!
Josh Cooper is a Utah-based artist who has been refining his creative skills since 1995. Although most of his life he has lived in Utah, he has spent several years in Italy and other parts of the United States. He began attending honors art classes in 1989, developing a love for perspective, contrast, and modern art. Josh's skills and passion for various materials such as wood, metal, and paint continued to grow while working in custom craft shops. He attributes part of his creativity to growing up with a love of Disney animation, as Walt is his 5th cousin.

Josh has been heavily influenced by other artists such as Bob Ross, Waylan, Chis DeRubeis, and Matt Beyrer. You can find some of Josh's handmade creations at the Park City Olympic Museum, BYU sports museum, and professional healthcare facilities. In 2019, he had artwork in a gallery on Park City's Main Street and won the 2024 Utah Arts Festival "People's Choice Award".
